I attended this game with several buddies, one of whom, Chuck McNiel, said back in Feb '67 that the Red Sox would win pennant. Two outs, bottom of the 11th with Foy on 1st. Conigliaro fouls off 2 or 3 pitches on a 3-2 count and then smashes on out of the park and onto the Turnpike way beyond left field. Chuck screams "This is the year!" By the time we and the crowd reach Kenmore Sq. everyone is chanting "This is the year!" Oh that it were!
