This was the first MLB game that I ever attended. I was 9 yrs. old and remember sitting with my older brother and father in the Mezzanine section to the right of home plate. The Mets were in the middle of their first big winning streak, which would reach 11 games.

Later that month (June 20th,) I went to the game against the St. Louis Cardinals. The Mets won 4-3, knocking out Bob Gibson in the process....but not before he hit a home run.

For that game, we sat way up in the leftfield Upper Deck, near the Cardinals bullpen.
