I attended the game with my father. We sat in Center Field Bleachers, which due to park dimension were not bad. During that hectic ninth inning there were pinch hitters and pinch runners.
When Cookie hit that game-winner my father was using his reading glasses to check the score card and then while changing glasses he missed the whole action. We laughed about it for years
