This was the first Major League game I ever saw, and I was amazed to see that the players had to walk through the concourse and through the stands to get from the clubhouses to the dugouts. A couple of years ago I met Al Jackson at the Mets spring training camp, and told him that he pitched the first ML game I ever saw - at Crosley Field. His response, laughingly - "Dang, you're getting old. They've had two ballparks since then!"
