Babe Birrer blasted two three-run homers in Detroit's 12-4 victory against Baltimore. The amazing part of Birrer's power surge was that he came in to pitch in the sixth, throwing four innings of shutout relief for the save. The two homers were the only ones he hit in his three-year career.
