The 1974 Dodgers were a great team. Steve Garvey is the MVP of that year. Mike Marshall wins the Cy Young Award. They had 4 starters in the All-Star Game. Andy Messersmith, Steve Garvey, Ron Cey, and Jimmy Wynn. They had a record of 102 and 60 in regular season.

1st game of the most glorious baseball season I ever knew. Vinny named Dodger Stadium, the 'Magic Castle' the boys of summer had become men with big bats, pitching was everywhere and when we were losing it was just a set-up for more heroics. I am here to relive that season and play S-O-M while I watch in memory of my best friend who was there with me for all 112 games and was killed back in LA last year and it was doing research into that crime I found this site so I will watch, remember, and finish my aahhh...research and after the 162 it's off to my hometown and share my insights with a selected few. He would have loved this site more than myself, I think Denzel got it right when in a film called 'man on fire' he stated, 'revenge is a dish best served cold'. Thanks to you all for this work it is truly a gift to those of us who find that Major League Baseball falls somewhere between the greatest pastime and religion, as a Catholic Easter Mass and a season deciding game bring forth uni
