this was up there with 86 as a classic red sox collapse that was entirely against all odds. In the history of baseball, what % of the time does a team up 3 runs in the 8th lose a game, anyone know?

I was at the thirsty scholar, a bar in Somerville with my friend and longtime sox sufferer ben Siddall. Simply crushing. Everyone in America knew to take Pedro out...Little's hubris cost the sox a shot at the Series. BUT it made next year allllll the sweeter!

My son + I were there. A thrill. Little did mess up. They got better the next year with Francona + their historic come back from 3-0 in the ALCS.

Ironically it was Boone's (descended from Daniel) last game as a Yankee. He broke his ankle playing basket ball in the off season. This brought on A-Rod.

Tough to choose between Boone + Bucky Dent.
