What a great experience for you. My first game was the last game of the 1954 season Dodgers vs. Pirates at Ebbets Field.Pitcher for Brooklyn was Karl Spooner who struck out 12 Bucs. in only his second game following a 15 strikeout performance in his debut. Gil Hodges hit a towering homer late in the game for a 1-0 Dodger win. How good was that!

This was my first Dodgers game - I was 9. Dad and I sat in the lower deck along the third base line. I remember Duke Snider hitting a hsot off the base of the RF wall in the 1st inning and sliding under the tag for a triple. He later homered (although I don't remember that). A couple left handed Cards hitters also slugged HRs to the opposite field. Podres was theDodger pitcher that day..
